  • Our calves are never force-weaned. The cow weans the calf at her leisure, minimising stress to both animals

  • We hand-feed our cattle all year round to make sure they are not stressed by human contact

2. YOUR HEALTH

  • Our beef is 100% guaranteed to be free of hormones and antibiotics
  • We specialise in extra lean beef. Our stud Blonde d'Aquitaine bull (his name is Boomerang) is very lean and well muscled, producing very healthy lean beef

3. THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Our cattle are produced through dryland farming—we do not irrigate
  • We use solar power to live on our farm.
  • As much as possible, our packaging is made from recycled, or recyclable materials
  • Because we only deliver locally, and our cattle are born on our property, there is very minimal transport required to get your meat to you, minimising your carbon footprint
  • If there are any parts of the animal you would prefer not to take (e.g. offal), we will donate it to the Wildlife Preservation Society on your behalf. It is used to feed injured native wildlife.
